#democraticchair style settee. Basswood seat and the rest red oak. I've used basswood on most my chairs but always painted. The customer requested a natural finish on this one. Its not a bad combination

Here's a neat detail in the #democraticchair where Curtis likes to round the tenon on the stretchers an eighth inch shy of the mortise depth so the corners cut their way in. Makes for a sweet joint
